Subject: The Ultra-Cool Robot
Okay ya got the arc. Now what? Well what you have is my humanoid robot
figure that I am making available to everybody so you can have as much fun
with Imagine as I do. Animate him. Change him (into a woman?!?). Go crazy.
What the robot really is is a grouped OBJECT, not a cycle object... yet.
It's all set up for the cycle editor and all you have to do is load him in
to the CYCLE EDITOR and say YES to the conversion process and he will be
converted. Then you can manipulate him in any way you want. He is fully
articulated (movable hands and limbs). You ought to have some fun playing
with him. The reason for not making the ROBOT a CYCLE object was that,
well, the cycle editor is, how shall I say it, kinda picky about what it
loads and doesn't load. So, by leaving it alone you can change whatever
parts you want to. (Good idea)
The robot was just a little fun project for an animation I am working on
called the JOY OF MOTION and I really wanted something fairly simple (not a
million points and faces or anything) but real looking. The 'BOT fits the
bill for me and I know that there are others that have dreamt of that
ultimate animation and just needed that one piece. If nothing else, I hope
this inspires others to greatness.
ABOUT ME: Well, I run a graphic design company here in Long Beach. Been in
business about two years now. Got into the Amiga about 1 year ago. Turbo
Silver was my first love in the 3-D field and Imagine is my second. My
company also sells Turbo Silver/Imagine object disks. We are working on our
fourth 3-disk set now. If anybody wants to write to me, my address is at
the top of this letter and I would be delighted to hear from you guys.
Drop me a line and I'll get back to you.
Till Next Time,
-Tim-
